杨亚纪念奖学金
Ya Yang Memorial Scholarship ,
established by friends of Ya Yang (8911) in 1999, awarded
to one or more outstanding female entering students at USTC each
year, particularly those from low-income families.
Since 2007, 张小真纪念奖学金 ZHANG Xiaozhen Memorial Fund awards one female student Outstanding New Student Award each year. High School Scholarship Awards. 优秀青年教师奖(Young Faculty Career Award )
Currently (since 2007), two types of YFCA are issued to about 5 young faculty, at two levels, $5000 and $1000.
To recognize members of the USTC faculty dedicated to teaching, and to increase the awareness of the importance of fundamental courses teaching at USTC. The Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) is awarded annually to about 2 qualified members of the USTC faculty, each with a total cash amount of $1,500.
Goodwill Sponsorship (est. 1999) Currently (since 2007), a sponsor needs to cover four years of study of a sponsored USTC student for $400 a year. To be a sonsor, one can make donations at any time. But usually, each year, around March, sponsors will be solicited by USTCAF. Sponsors then may select a specific individual (or more ) to be sponsored from the candidate list PROVIDED BY THE USTC. In additional to financial need, some minimum academic requirements are checked to ensure the sponsored students will continue to finish the education in USTC under the scholarship. Some classes jointly provide Goodwill Sponsorship to several students each year. For example, 875 学田纪念奖学金 875 XueTian Memorial Scholarship (est. 1999), 772 Goodwill Scholarship (est. 1999), Future Chemists Fund, 787, 788, 773, 771, 8211, 821, 906, 912, etc.
